As we embark on the upcoming holiday season, homes across our DCS area will be creating memories- giving thanks and expressing gratitude over shared meals with family and friends.
Tuesday in Kitchen Garden Flex Class, 5th and 6th grade students shared their favorite food memories. Many of these memories invoked smells, sounds, and tastes of foods that were made with love and kindness. Students shared everything from the classic green bean casserole at Thanksgiving to smoked brisket for U of M football Saturdays.
Dexter Farm to School wants to thank everyone in our Dexter Community that has supported our program over the past several years- parent volunteers, teachers, administrators and especially our wonderful DCS students who help us create wonderful food memories.
