Yesterday students from Creekside harvested 45 lbs of kale, 4 lbs of Swiss chard, Brussels sprouts and 4 watermelons to celebrate DCS Garden to Cafeteria Month! This week, look for kale salad with maple syrup dressing at Mill Creek and DHS cafeterias. The high school will also be serving up a Swiss chard and Brussels sprout salad with honey dressing. Samples of watermelon will be available at the Creekside cafeteria on Wednesday, September 13. All of the produce that Creekside students harvest is sold to DCS Food and Nutrition and the proceeds are used to support the Sullivan Memorial Garden and Creekside Kitchen Garden. Enjoy!
