This Saturday, Nov. 9th, we’re planning a work day at the Dexter High School Sullivan Memorial Learning Garden from 10 AM – 1 PM. And we’d love YOUR help!
Please CLICK HERE to sign up for a volunteer slot! Dress warmly and bring gloves, if you’d like. We’ll supply tools for the tasks, and add smiles and encouragement to the mix to keep spirits up during a chilly work day in the garden.
Our goal is to put the garden beds to rest for the winter and to amend and mulch to beds to improve the soil so that the garden will be ready for vibrant activity in the spring! We hope that a spring garden work day will entail larger projects, like building more raised beds, installing a larger tool shed and a planting area, and maybe even putting up a shade cloth for an outdoor classroom meeting space.
Please sign up to lend a hand this week! And keep an eye out for future opportunities to get out in the gardens to help!
