Creekside students vote thumbs up on fresh veggies from the Sullivan Memorial Garden

The Farm to Cafeteria Program wrapped up National Farm to School Month last week with a final serving of Brussels sprouts and sweet dumpling squash at Creekside Cafeteria.

Both the Brussels sprouts and squash were planted from seed, grown and harvested by Creekside students at the Sullivan Memorial Garden.  The veggies were roasted with olive oil and seasoned with Romano cheese and garlic.

Students overwhlemingly voted “thumbs up” for both, with the Brussels sprouts being a clear favorite among students.
